We offer Mat, Reformer and online Zoom Pilates classes. Our purpose built studio in Puddletown, Dorset has plenty of parking and can accommodate up to four students at once.

WHAT IS PILATES?

Pilates is a mind and body conditioning programme designed to rebalance and re-educate the body, allowing it to move well. It helps to strengthen deep, core muscles around the tummy and waist and relieves tension by releasing tight muscles particularly around the back, neck and hips.

Whether you are a newcomer to exercise, recovering from injury, or want to enhance your current exercise regime, Pilates is suitable for all ages and all abilities.

The Pilates Method is proving to be popular and effective not only for people with back pain and recurring injuries, but also top athletes and exercise professionals. Pat Cash, the All Blacks rugby team and even the GB mens rowing four have all benefited from it.

The consistent success rate in helping to relieve back pain, realign the body and improve posture has brought Pilates to the attention of medical specialists such as GP’s, chiropractors and osteopaths.

At Dorset Pilates we offer group Reformer classes with 4 people maximum and also specialise in 1:1 private sessions incorporating some of the other Pilates equipment – Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel and Springboard. Our instructors are expertly trained to accommodate and rehabilitate a wide range of injuries and issues.
